- 1. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
- 2. Throughout the media course my group has used many different types of technological products. For example using an emac, camera, and the internet to be able to get this far.
- 3. I have learnt how to use the emac by making an opening to a thriller movie. I improved my knowledge on how to use effects and transactions from the preliminary task and applied it to the foundation task. I also learned how to create title sequences and the dynamic productions title. It inspired me to learn more about the emac and to make the thriller opening look more like it has been down professionally. Using different transactions allowed me to make the opening more interesting which let me learn how to add different and complex transactions. For example fade in and fade out, speeding the clip up or slowing it down.
- 4. I also learned how to create a blog which allows me to show all my planning, research and evaluation points. It was fun experimenting with different ways of presenting the information on my blog for example; scroll boxes, textboxes, mind maps, pictures and slide shows. I also learned how to upload a slide show onto my blog by using slide share. I found it easy to use and found it easy to upload it to my blog. I also found that looking back at the preliminary task is that I didn’t know much on about to use a camera and tested it out.
- 5. After a while I found myself being able to film in different positions that I wouldn’t have thought about before. I also learned how to upload videos from a camera to the emac which I found difficult to understand while in the preliminary task. One of the transactions that I used was fade in and out which I didn’t know how to use until we played around and made it work in between two different shots.
- 6. Another thing that I have learnt is how to move the production title from a computer to the emac. I did this by filming it with a camera and using it as a shot in the opening and adding transactions like for example lightening and the sound of thunder. I found it hard to do to begin with but as soon as I knew what I was doing I found it easier to apply to the opening.
- 7. Adding music to the thriller opening made it complete. We had to search for different kinds to find the one that matched. I learned that it was hard to find non copy write music and that it took a lot of time and thought into picking the right one. I also learned how to add it onto the emac by using a memory stick. However I found it hard to get the right timing of the music to suit the opening. For example it was hard to stop the music at the right point and to cut it so it didn’t carry on once the opening had finished.
