This document defines critique, critic, and critique paper. A critique paper involves critically analyzing, assessing, and evaluating concepts, books, movies, or products through balanced discussion of strengths and weaknesses. It presents a more expanded version of a reaction paper and allows critics to share contrary viewpoints. When writing a critique paper, one must study the work, take notes, develop an understanding of the main argument, consider the broader context, and organize the paper with an introduction of ideas, summary, strengths/weaknesses analysis, and final recommendations.
