Group-Interviews + + Obtain  more depth and individual views on certain topics Get someone more quiet to express themself Take out dominant person from the group Obtain detailed development/understanding of ideas Challenge some opinions  Perform creative techniques REAL LIFE EXAMPLES : Drivers and barriers research among users and non-users – we’ve put users together and non-users together in split-out groups and have them develop arguments for the use of their preferred product – followed by a debate Establishing the opportunity for a new product : we’ve split the group in two, one group developing the sales story for the existing product, the other developing the sales story for the new product – followed by a debate Individuals taken out of group  for depth interview session Group Discussion Group split in 2-3 mini-groups for depth exploration/workshops
