- 1. Feedback from our rough cut
- 2. We got 4 different students to analyse our opening sequence. We gave them a sheet to fill out commenting on the strengths and improvements that we could make. They all said that it was clear that it was an opening sequence, and had conventions of our genre and most said the Mise en Scene, camera work, editing and sound were good, if not excellent. We will use their suggestions to improve our opening sequence.
- 3. Feedback 1 This person liked the music as it was emotional, but thinks it could be improved by slowing down the shot where she’s reading the letter to have more of an impact on the audience.
- 4. Feedback 2 This person also liked the music but suggested that we use a voiceover for the dialogue, so it enhances the voices and you can’t hear background noise.
- 5. Feedback 3 This person again liked the soundtrack because of the emotion, along with the fact that there wasn’t much speaking, so when there was speaking it was more effective. They also liked the variety of shots. They commented on the fact that there was a very abrupt sound change on the shots where there was dialogue, and they suggested we use background sound throughout so it isn’t so abrupt.
- 6. Feedback 4 This person said that the sequence could be improved by slowing down some of the footage so the audience can see the emotions of the character, but liked the music and camera angles.
