What Is CRM Desktop?
    • CRM access from your familiar Microsoft Outlook interface
    • Increases CRM user adoption and maximizes sales productivity
    • Features
             –     Seamless Microsoft Outlook integration
             –     Unified data
             –     Mobility
             –     Customizability
    • All emails, calendar events, and tasks can be linked to the right
      Contact, Account, Lead, or Opportunity in CRM
    • When sending a meeting invite or an email, a single click
      captures the action and quietly updates CRM in the background
    • Extends the forms, menus, folders, and toolbars of Microsoft
      Outlook, to display rich CRM data
    • Smart UI capabilities (Example: Type-ahead filtering and auto-
      suggestion)

Getting Ready : 1
    • Step 1 : Raise a service request to Oracle
      Support, to enable access to CRM Desktop for
      your user ID
    • Step 2 : Once done, Set the following role
      privileges
             – “Enable CRM Desktop Access”
             – “Manage CRM Desktop Access”

    • Step 3 : Download CRM Desktop for Oracle CRM
      On Demand from http://edelivery.oracle.com

    • Step 4 : Create Installer Package
             – Admin > Oracle CRM On Demand Desktop >
               Administer Customization Packages > Fill the form &
               Save
    • Step 5 : Install CRM Desktop
    • Step 6 : Configure Login ID / Password

    • System Tray > CRM Desktop Icon > Right Click >
      Show Control Panel

      CRM Desktop

    • You can define one or more filters per object, if
      you want to download / use only limited set of
      records from CRM On Demand

    • Once configured, Right click on CRM Desktop
      Icon in System tray and select “Synchronize
      Now”
    • You can repeat this whenever you want to sync
      records between online and offline

    • Now you will notice CRM Desktop toolbars in
      Microsoft Outlook

    • Click on the folder list to see all CRM Objects
      configured
    • Click on an object to see records and to edit /
      insert new data

    • Notice the “Oracle” Icon in the top left corner,
      you can use it for viewing a particular record in
      CRM On Demand (Live)

    • Create a new Lead / Opportunity etc., by using
      the “New” button in respective folders

    • At any given point of time, you may change the
      options of your CRM Desktop via the
      corresponding System Tray menu option

    • When creating a Calendar entry (Example:
      Appointment / Meeting request), notice the
      buttons available to link the same to CRM On
      Demand easily
