1. Prepare a three to four page outline or summary (not
including the title page and reference page) on the topic below.
Develop a research question and provide supportive statements
that clarify and elaborate upon, in an orderly manner. The
research outline assignment must be written in MS Word, APA
format, with a 12-point font (Arial or Times New Roman).
2. Prepare an annotated bibliography in APA format. The
annotated bibliography should have a minimum of five peer
reviewed resources that you locate from the library. The
summary of each reference should be around 150-200 words
long. All citations must be done in APA format (6th edition).
This should be submitted in a Word document (or equivalent) in
12 point font, single spaced (note your paper will be double
spaced, but the bibliography may be single spaced).
3. Your research paper should be at least 4000 words long (this
can range anywhere between 12-15 pages or more) at a
minimum. The paper should have at least 10 total cited
resources within the paper. (5 from #2 and an additional 5
more). Your paper must be in APA format, using the 6th edition
of APA format. All information must be cited properly.
TOPIC: My specific area of interest is family including
marriage and parenthood intertwining business and psychology
disciplines.
Title: How Starting a Business can affect Marriage and the
Family
While studying business gives you skills to work in a business
environment, studying psychology helps you acquire the
intellectual and personal skills necessary to work well with
people, understanding what hinders and motivates them. My
husband and I have been creating and working on our business
plan for a while. We have set financial and business goals but
we very rarely talk about how it will affect our home, our
family, our relationship, and our children. We have the roles we
will play and how things will flow but we need to dig further
into the time it will take and how that will affect the family.
How our roles will be in the home and how we will make sure
our children are not negatively affected. Starting a business can
be financially and emotionally straining on families. Also I can
dig into our different businesses involve their families more.
Some restaurants allow the children to work there and hang
around more while an accounting firm would not be the ideal
place for children to be involved.
