Flag
• Denotation
A piece of cloth with a design on it.
• Connotation
A simple of freedom and unity between country's
Gun

A metal object that is able to harm people/ things
• Connotation
Protection, evil, violance,
The background colour is
black. Black suggests
darkness and the
unknown.
In the film, the joker is
unpredictable and his
facial expression says it all.
He's smiling but his eyes
seem to follow you around
the room. The fact he's
coming from within the
darkness suggests that he
is the unknown and he is
unpredictable.
He is holding up a card that
covers up half of his face,
representing his split
personality. Sometimes he
can be in a violet mood, a
happy mood, a angry
mood and even a good
mood. But he tends to go
to one extreme to the
other every quickly. The
fact that batman is on the
card suggests that maybe
he’s the reason the joker
acts this way.
Also the fact that batman is
“on top” of the joker suggests
that he is over powering him.
The joker and batman are
enemy's, so for the joker to
hold a picture of him over his
face in the way he is, shows
that he knows he needs to
stop batman.
His pale white face stands out
over the pitch black
background, you cant see
much of what he's warring,
but you can see his black
gloves. Witch suggests he is a
criminal trying not to get his
finger prints on anything.
The colours stand out
and are eye catching.
The massive explosion
in the back foreshadows
what you can expect to
see in the film.
They are all warring
their own clothes or
things stupid costumes,
suggesting they don’t
take themselves too
seriously.
They are all in a
shopping trolley just off
the middle of the page,
showing that there
moving and that
nothing is too
professional.
There are a variety of
different colours used
in this poster. There
are purples, yellows,
greens, blues, reds and
oranges. All these
colours complement
each other and make
the whole thing stand
out and catch the
costumers eye.
There are pictures of
guns, cars, motorbikes,
jet skis and a dog. It
shows off all the things
you are able to do in
the game in a cool
artistic way. The
characters are warring
outfits you can find
within the game.
The locations in the
background of some of
the images is the city
you can pay in, in the
game. You can see key
locations and
landmarks.
Soundtrack
• Clip 1
•
• Clip 2
Shining
• The trailer has been edited to make the characters seem happy.
• The music is more uplifting
• They’ve shown the child a lot to give the trailer a sense of instance
• They’ve used jump cuts and other techniques to make it seem funny
• They’ve used a lot of family scenes like them around the dinner table, to make it seem ore relatable and
friendly
• Instead of a “psycho” the main character comes across as funny, due to short clips of him doing random
things, and some dialog used
Scary Mary
• Right away we a greeted with a graveyard scene with a ominous sounding wind effect in the background.
• A lot of the more “dark” scenes are used because if there was bright colours used it would seem less scary.
• The children are shown looking shocked and scared to give the audience something to sympathise with
• Mary Poppins is shown flying in with the dark clouds in the background and it cuts to text saying “… she
appliers”. Everything about that sequence is creepy. One second she's quite far away, then it cuts and she's
closer. This has been done to show she's some kind of “supernatural” being.
• It cuts to the clip of when she walks away and her reflection follows her. The music alone suggests that
something bad is about to happen. Then once again it cuts to the children jumping up out of bed
screaming to give the audience a sense of danger.
• The scene is used where the kids are pinned up against the wall to frightened to move, its made to look
like they have no ware to run, once again the music is creepy and tense to add to the already scary looking
situation.
• A short clip is used where a wheelchair scoops up a lady. Once again to give a “supernatural” feel to the
trailer. This is scary because audiences often fear the unknown.

Clip Analysis
• Women are portrayed as more hormonal and moody
• Men are portrayed as more stable and manly
• The music right away makes the atmosphere more tense
• They are dressed in comfortable yet smart looking clothes, suggesting they are of some importance but there job requires themto get
dirty
• The woman in the digger was able distract the attacking tiger, saving the man.
• The camera angle as the tiger was attacking the man showed a first person perspective putting the audience in his shoes, so they are
able to empathise more with him
• The man then distracted the tiger from the woman, so they’ve both saved each other from the same threat, so its equal.
• As the man is going down the zip line there are many camera angles used in a short amount of time to give the effect of danger, speed
and to give you a sense of adrenalin. This and the music used makes this sequence very tense.
• The dialog after the tiger has been killed gives you an idea that something bigger is going on. They mention about that bodyhas been
hidden, and you want to keep watching to see what exactly is going on
• It then cuts to a man and a woman talking, it immediately becomes obvious that the woman is “bad” just by the way she talks. She
speaks almost in a sarcastic tone and her facial expressions gives you the impression that she thinks she's better than everyone.
• The clothes would suggest that she's probably very wealthy adding to the fact that she thinks she's the best.
• The man she's speaking to looks poorly dressed, suggesting he isn’t as wealthy. Witch gives a “Rich Vs Poor” dynamic and mostpeople
are able to relate to that.
• The woman they blackmails the man. We find out he also has been fighting dogs, witch is illegal. We have sympathy for him though
because the woman is portrayed as the more dominant personality so the audience is able to sympathise with the man more.
• Shortly after however the roles are quickly reversed when the man pulls a shotgun out on the girl stating “I'm sick of you people”.
• The audience immediately empathises with the woman once the man shoots the gun and throws her to the floor.
• The music in this sequence gets tens and loud
• The music suddenly stops as she is saved by the group from before.
