The document presents a statistical analysis framework for testing the interoperability of biometric fingerprint recognition systems, addressing challenges that arise due to diverse sensor technologies. A study involving six fingerprint sensors collected data from 100 subjects to evaluate performance metrics such as false non-match rates and image quality scores, highlighting significant discrepancies between native and interoperable datasets. The proposed framework aims to formalize the testing process for interoperability as biometric systems increasingly move towards distributed architectures.
