About The Front Cover
The CAD model of the road sign was brought into Autodesk Showcase for rendering. Then, it was put in
a highway setting and additional car models were added to complete the scene. Then, mood lines were
drawn on the oncoming cars using Autodesk Alias Design to simulate fast motion. Popular cities were
added to the highway signs as a decal to help communicate the sign’s practical functionality. Finally,
hands were added to the steering wheel to put you in the driver’s seat as you check your speed and
glance up at the highway sign to gather information about your destination.

Go Beyond 3D with Autodesk Digital Prototyping
The Autodesk solution for Digital Prototyping gives manufacturers the ability to virtually explore a
complete product before it is built—so they can create, validate, optimize, and manage designs from
the conceptual design phase through the manufacturing phase of the product development process. By
using a digital prototype, manufacturers can boost design efficiency and innovation by visualizing and www.AE-Solutions.com/Autodesk
simulating the real-world performance of a design, and save time and money by reducing the number of
physical prototypes they build.

This calendar demonstrates digital prototyping in action.

  • 2. About The Front Cover The CAD model of the road sign was brought into Autodesk Showcase for rendering. Then, it was put in a highway setting and additional car models were added to complete the scene. Then, mood lines were drawn on the oncoming cars using Autodesk Alias Design to simulate fast motion. Popular cities were added to the highway signs as a decal to help communicate the sign’s practical functionality. Finally, hands were added to the steering wheel to put you in the driver’s seat as you check your speed and glance up at the highway sign to gather information about your destination.
