IT Infrastructure Coordinator
- 1. DIRECT CLIENT REQUIREMENT – Health Care Position Name: Infrastructure Coordinator Resources Needed: 1-2 Pay: $50/hr + Location: Chicago, IL Desired Start: ASAP Anticipated End: December 31, 2012 Position Description: This position will report to the Infrastructure Integration Team; this group is responsible for managing engagement and coordination of infrastructure delivery planning LBOM combined with detailed Microsoft Visio physical diagrams are the primary planning tool to gather and document all infrastructure configuration items for environment deployments The LBOM Coordinator is responsible for working with multiple subject matter experts, architects, application development teams, and system owners to gather all physical requirements Required Qualifications: The Logical Bill of Materials (LBOM) Coordinators will often communicate in emails to gather information, meet with small teams and lead discussions, as well as present their finding and solicit feedback in large meetings attended by application teams and infrastructure SME’s. These larger meetings often have 40+ people in attendance so skills with leading technical discussions are essential Background as a “Tech Writer” or experience with performing technical documentation is essential Strong background across multiple infrastructure disciplines. In depth knowledge of specific technologies is not required, but the candidate should be a strong “generalist” These technologies should include general knowledge of: Windows OS, Unix OS, Websphere, SQL and DB2, and basics of firewall rule sets Background working with complex Excel worksheets Strong skills working with Microsoft Visio for the documentation of hardware environments Familiarity with ITIL best practices and the concepts of Configuration Management Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required Candidate must work well in high pressure situations with tight timelines Candidate should possess excellent skills in self-discovery and learning on the job while training will be provided, the majority of the knowledge comes through practical experience and learning through doing Candidate must have an aptitude for flexibility, adaptability and comfort with ambiguity
