The Gardens School ~ Portfolio Sample: Term 4, 2012 Self-Evaluation for Term Four Name: Sean McGrath Date: 5/12/12 Class: kahu 1 Effort : A = My very best at all times, showed independence B = My best most times, needed some ideas or support C = Could have worked better, needed a lot of support D = Did not participate, contribute or attempt to complete Maths: This term I have really improved with fractions and decimals in all areas. Effort: A Next year I want learn a bit more about decimals and fractions but the main focus I want to learn is algebra. Literacy including I have really been trying hard in writing reading, writing, spelling and own reading: poetry such as haikus and speeches. Effort: A I want to learn a bit more types of writing next year. Spanish: I have really enjoyed Spanish this year and have learnt lots of words and phrases Effort: A . I want to learn a lot more phrases and words so I can ask for some food. Art: I learnt a lot of new techniques to draw in Mrs Whiteheads class. Effort: B I would like to get more confident drawing because I am not a very confident drawer . Homework: include I have enjoyed doing all my homework on maths, the iPad this year. Effort: A I would like to just step it up a level. Poutama: In poutama my favorite was microwave pudding that really enjoyed. In wood work we made really awesome rockets and my one came third. Effort: A I want to learn a bit more about how to have a better techniques.
- 2. P.E. and Sport: P.E is a very awesome part of school but the game that is my favorite is taniwha Effort: A and Kiowa. I want to learn a bit more about netball skills. Dancing: including jump I really enjoyed the ball because it was jam Effort: A my first night dancing in a formal accession. I would like to learn some jump jam that the intermediates learnt this year. Speeches: I really enjoyed doing the speeches and I was a bit disappointed that I didn't go Effort: A through to the finals. I now know what the expectations are so I can do better next time. Poetry: I really enjoyed poetry in the haiku area Next year I want to learn different poetry Effort: A that I have never even heard of . My favourite learning area this term was: Spanish because I thought that for the first year I can already recognize words in every day life. One thing I have improved in or achieved this term is: writing, I have improved in all areas of the poetry we have done this year. A goal for next year is to: try hard in all areas of work even ones that I have almost mastered. These are some of the ways I led proudly this term: I have been helping out in wet day and the little kids when they are hurt or sad.
