   Objectives
At the end of this module you will be able to:
   • Manage your cluster with the MapR Control System
   • Copy files to and from your cluster via NFS
   • Use the MapR Client to access your cluster
   • Explain the steps involved in using the Hive ODBC Connector with a BI
     application

The MapR Client
 A MapR distribution of the
                                                Hadoop shell
 A tool to submit jobs to the
                                                cluster from your workstation
                                             Compatible with:
                                                – Windows
                                                – Mac

                                             Permissions/Credentials the
                                                same as the cluster

Work with the cluster from your laptop
