• Study of 2 sciences combined as 1 mark
• Content is ¾ that of pure sciences
• Minimum 4 periods per week per
science.
• Will have to take practical exam in Sec
4E or Sec 5NA.

• Physics related theme : Gadgets Work
Wonders
• Food Chemistry related theme : Food
Matters
• Biology & Health related theme : Wonders of
My Body
• Topics covered over two years
• 8 periods a week, all theory no practical
exams in Sec 4NT

a) Junior Colleges
• Better adaptability to the Sciences at H2 level
if pure sciences are offered at ‘O’ levels.
• Taking of sci(phy/chem) will provide foundation
for JC Science as well
b) Polytechnics
• Engineering courses require pupils to take

• Biotech or Biomedical courses require
Chemistry (pure or sci(chem) & having Bio is
advantage.
