Delphi Corporation utilized simulation to aid in the design and feasibility assessment of a multimillion-dollar fuel injector production line. The simulation focused on early design stages to evaluate production targets, identify critical design features, and guide iterative design improvements, ultimately aiming for a throughput of 1125k fuel injectors per day. The simulation model was developed to encapsulate complex interactions between machines, conveyors, and operators, allowing for informed design decisions and enhancing the project's financial viability.
