The article presents a novel method using artificial neural networks (ANN) for optimizing the performance of a photovoltaic pumping system, eliminating the need for a dc/dc boost converter. By employing field-oriented control and a multilayer feedforward ANN for maximum power point tracking (MPPT), the system effectively adjusts the inverter's frequency to maximize efficiency under varying solar radiation conditions. The proposed approach results in excellent performance in achieving the system's operational efficiency while simplifying the overall configuration.
