This document discusses internet congestion control using an extended state observer approach. It begins with an introduction to congestion control and its importance. It then [1] presents the nonlinear modeling of TCP/IP protocols and discusses how to linearize the model. [2] It describes the limitations of a classical disturbance observer in dealing with time-varying disturbances. [3] The paper proposes using an extended state observer to estimate uncertainties and disturbances in the network parameters. This is aimed to improve congestion control performance over existing approaches.
