This document presents a novel model for the influence function of continuous membrane deformable mirrors (DM) used in adaptive optics, focusing on the calibration and accurate representation of the mirror's response to various actuators. The model employs the 2D sinc-squared function and Zernike polynomials to assess actuator coupling and improve wavefront correction results. Results indicate that the proposed methods provide significant improvements over existing Gaussian models, especially for edge and penultimate actuators.
