The document presents a new redundant adder architecture using ternary quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) technology, aimed at enhancing speed and reducing power consumption compared to traditional binary adders. The proposed architecture features 233 cells and occupies an area of 0.35 μm2, implemented via the TQCA designer tool. This research emphasizes the practical advantages of ternary logic over binary, offering more efficient digital circuit designs, particularly beneficial for the VLSI industry.
