- 47. ๏Jealous or envy? ๏Envy is wanting what they have ๏Jealousy is being passionate / committed to someone / something
- 48. ๏God’s jealousy comes out of selfless sacrificial love for his people.
- 49. ๏God is jealous for our love ๏Because he knows that the most powerful thing for us to be happy is to love him—he is committed to our good. ๏God’s anger comes out of his great love for us.
- 50. ๏So the OT tells the story of God being jealous of idols that the Israelites set up—that they bow down to and worship
