This document outlines the marking criteria for three questions on an A2 media studies exam. For each question, marks are awarded on a scale of 0 to 12 based on the depth of analysis, evaluation and application of media concepts and theories. Higher marks are given for more sophisticated, detailed and critically autonomous answers that are clearly expressed and supported by examples. Lower marks are awarded for more basic, descriptive or irrelevant responses that lack critical application and have weaknesses in written communication.
