The Adaptec Flash Module 600 (AFM 600) provides zero-maintenance cache protection for Adaptec Series 6, Series 6T, and Series 6Q RAID controllers using flash memory instead of lithium-ion batteries. This eliminates monitoring, maintenance, replacement, and disposal costs associated with batteries while still protecting cached data in the event of a power loss. The AFM 600 offers more than 40% cost savings over a four-year period compared to lithium-ion batteries.
