CONCEPTUAL DESIGN OPTIONS
DESIGN OBJECTIVES
Phase:1
• Improve pedestrian safety and environment while
accessing the terminal.
• Rationalise bus circulation within the terminal.
• Reorganise terminal layout to reflect desirable and
safe movement and flow buses and pedestrians.
• Provide better terminal facilities and improve safety for
the BEST driver and conductor staff.
• Provide amenities for the users to increase safety and
usability within the terminal.
Phase 2: Integration with commercial component.

Editor's Notes

  • #4: Location: Mumbai suburbs (between the suburb of Goregaon (E) and Malad (E)) City’s major employment zones (Urban commercial) On the General Arun Kumar Vaidya Marg leading to Goregaon-Mulund link road, the major east-west corridor Western Railway corridor is within close proximity, A metro corridor is proposed across this area, with a proposed station located near Dindoshi Bus Terminal.
  • #5: Designated parkin The present bus infrastructure and passenger amenities/ facilities catering to the passenger needs are inadequate, ill maintained and are of poor standards. Hence upgradations of these are required to meet the future needs of the city.
  • #18: Difficult to access the terminal building as the users have to cross through the bus circulation space to access the building for the passes.
