The Heavy Equipment Repair Plant in Varanasi was established in 1984 and began production in 1986 on 29.80 acres of land. It repairs gas turbines, hydro turbines, steam turbines, generators and other equipment. The plant has CNC machines like lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, and grinding machines that are controlled numerically.
