AMUL is a dairy cooperative founded in 1946 and headquartered in Anand, Gujarat. It is jointly owned by 3 million milk producers and manages the brand through the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation. AMUL spurred India's White Revolution, making India the largest producer of milk and milk products worldwide. Known for its conservative yet effective marketing, AMUL's Amul girl campaign has run for 47 years. Products include dairy items as well as dry and fresh bakery products.
