The paper presents a highly efficient photovoltaic system designed for onboard ship applications, which converts low voltage from solar modules to the higher voltage required by ship service loads. It addresses the inefficiencies of traditional converters by introducing a modified boost-fly-back converter with interleaved inductors and capacitors, achieving better performance with reduced switching losses. Simulation results demonstrate that the system can achieve output power levels of 500W and 1kW with high efficiency, making it suitable for various ship applications.
