Learning!

Online Learning at UO: Fast Facts
UO began offering online courses in the mid-1990s. We were modest
leaders through the early 2000s. Since then, our local and AAU peers
have significantly outpaced our own incremental growth.
UO currently offers one fully online master’s degree (Applied
Information Management, 2000-present).
Individual undergraduate courses have been delivered online since
2010.
Over 90% of students taking individual online courses indicate that they
are living on campus or in the Eugene area.
Approximately 96% of students enrolled in online courses are
matriculating students.

Reasons Students Choose Online Courses

(Taken from a survey sent to students in online courses)
UO Student Perspectives
Keep expanding the offerings! For us non-traditional students, online courses
are a godsend. It would be great to work toward offering entire degrees online.

UO Faculty Perspectives
Students have also noted that they actually feel like they have had more
interaction with me in the online class than they would have had in the face-to-
face class. While most of this interaction has been electronic, they value it
highly.
