This document discusses the analysis of the Zone Routing Protocol (ZRP) in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs), highlighting its functionality and performance metrics such as throughput, load, data dropped, and delay using the OPNET simulator. ZRP is characterized as a hybrid routing protocol that combines proactive and reactive strategies to enhance routing efficiency in dynamically changing networks. The study presents simulation results which indicate that increases in the number of mobile nodes improve throughput but also elevate load, delay, and data dropped rates.
