This document provides an overview of Module 2 of a language assessment training for teachers of English. The module aims to help teachers understand the importance of setting clear learning targets, evaluate existing targets, and write effective new ones using frameworks like Bloom's Taxonomy of cognitive skills and Bachman's model of communicative language ability. Upon completing the module, teachers will be able to define a learning target, explain why targets are important for language teaching and assessment, and assess the quality of a given target.
