The paper presents a novel three-phase, nine-level asymmetric cascaded multilevel inverter using control freedom pulse width modulation techniques, proposing topologies achieved by cascading full bridge inverters with unequal DC sources. It focuses on reducing total harmonic distortion and improving output voltages through various modulation schemes, including carrier overlapping PWM techniques. Simulations with MATLAB/Simulink verify the effectiveness of these approaches, demonstrating lower harmonics and superior performance compared to traditional methods.
