Proposal 1 Working Title: Ponchocast Product’s Purpose: The products purpose is to both entertain and educate the listener about recent gaming news and other gaming related topics Genre: Podcast Content My podcast is about the latest gaming news and we discuss other things like games we’ve been playing. Audience: My audience is working/middle class men that are interested in gaming, aged 17-27. This is because podcasts can be listened to on the go while commuting to work or school. The psychographic group my product is targeted towards is the belonger, as usually once a person finds a podcast they like, they will stick to it. My secondary audience may be younger people in their mid teens and women, as although they are not my target audience they may be interested in the topic of video games. Legal & Ethical Considerations: Think about any offensive material you will include? I will make sure not to include any offensive material in my work by properly researching everything that is covered in the product. Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it? I will not restrict younger people from accessing my product as it will all be PG-friendly. I will ensure this by making sure not to use things like bad language. Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities? I will make sure my product doesn’t offend any social groups by checking that I don’t use any language that could be offensive to them. How will you ensure you do not offend anyone? I will do research into the topics discussed and make sure politically correct language is used. Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs? I will be mentioning names of existing products and IPs as the nature of my product requires that I do so. Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright infringement? I will ensure my product is sufficiently different by making sure its recorded by myself and the subjects aren’t too similar to an existing podcast.
