• #4: Our StoryWe have been in Application Packaging since 2005 and since that time we have grown into the biggest packaging team in Europe with more than 100 packaging engineers (working in 3 cities in Ukraine).In 2009 reaching full professional level in application packaging we realized that many things are missing in the existing packaging products and may things should be improved.And in 2009 we started development of own application packaging tool – MSI Generator.Development of PACE as a product suite sparked off by Gartner in 2011PACE product we launched at the Packaging Event in Amsterdam in October 2012

• #10: APS provides 3 options of source package installation:Fully Automated package installation: as soon as package is uploaded to APS package is added to the packaging queue and special module recognize buttons on installation UI and clicks on them and makes screenshots of clicked windows2nd option: Packaging Engineer can configure uploaded package before packaging: select pre-requisites, specify custom install die or command ine options, specify order of executable in case source package have several ones and then start automated packaging3-rd option: Packaging Engineer can install and configure source application manually in Remote Desktop window (VNC session)
• #11: We often hear from customer: “Try to create AppV package first, if sequined application doesn’t work create msi package then.”Or “Try to create Transform for vendor MSI first and then if it doesn't work, repackage application.”But the approach “if then” really takes a lot of time in case first option is failed and additional time is spent for next options.Using Automated Packaging Self-Service you can avoid spending you time for this “if then” approach, due to APS builds automatically package for all possible formats for all selected platforms. So, you don’t spend your time on making package again and again for different formats - you need only to select the most appropriate format from the previously created packages.

There’s no need for additional configuration. Just run it and start packaging.For experienced users, the MSI Generator provides complete customization. Easily create custom MSI profiles, templates, and filters to satisfy different system requirements. And as it’s an executable file, there is no installation required. Plus, it can be launched from anywhere, for example from shared folders or USB drives.
