This document discusses greenhouse gas emissions and climate change in Tanzania. It finds that:
1) Tanzania currently has relatively low emissions, but emissions are projected to double by 2030 driven by population growth and economic development.
2) Agriculture and forestry are the largest emitting sectors currently and will remain so, as biomass is heavily used for energy and deforestation continues.
3) Implementing low-carbon development strategies faces challenges of poverty, technology gaps, and potential conflicts with economic growth objectives.
