- 5. Mr. Toastmaster, fellow guests, and especially TM . Ladies and Gentlemen, Don't you think that it was a (great/ wonderful/heart-warming/, etc.) speech? (short pause) I though that TM did a (great/ wonderful/etc.) job with (his/her) speech. In fact I was impressed with the speech on several points, but before I comment on that, let's look at the message and purpose. Here was a speech that I think that (message here: ex. tried to encourage us face our fears head on.) In fact in the speech were (example) .... and I think that hits at the essence of the speech. (Or: Here was a speech what I think that the main point was ...... ) With this mind I was impressed on (two) points (A) and (B). First, .... (talk about A, give examples from the speech itself and why you liked it) Second, ....(talk about B, give examples from the speech itself and why you liked it) With these (two) points (A) and (B) I found that that they help contribute making the speech effective. Now, how to do we make it even better? My suggestion is (C). (talk about C, try to be specific). That being said, I thought that (A) and (B) were effective and help contribute to getting your message of (message) to the audience. Specifically, (very short summarization). Also, I think that if (C) is tried I think it will further strengthen the speech, because ( why C stated) Thus, if TM continues to build on these two strengths and implement this one improvement, I think that next time TM will be an even more impressive speaker than before.
