Communication is the act of conveying information to create shared understanding. Effective communication helps build trust and develop relationships. There are different types of communication including interpersonal communication between two or more people, intrapersonal communication within an individual, and extra personal communication between humans and non-humans. Organizational communication occurs at different levels within organizations and mass communication uses mass media to reach large segments of society. People have different communication styles and behaviors based on their understanding and are more attracted to styles similar to their own.
