Bias and prejudice are discussed. Bias is defined as making systematic errors in judgment based on preconceived notions and can influence media reporting by selecting stories that please owners, advertisers, or avoid offensive content. Prejudice is defined as making assumptions about people without adequate knowledge and is discriminatory. Examples of prejudice discussed include stereotypes against Muslim women and historical discrimination against women, Jews, and black people.
