THE SITUATION 
In the last few years, Bigcommerce has seen their client base thrive. Retailers 
from around the world have begun and successfully grown online businesses 
with the ecommerce platform. Now, as Bigcommerce continues rapid-growth 
and acquires savvier retailers, they’ve partnered with SearchSpring to provide 
more advanced site search and faceted navigation. Two of the many features 
SearchSpring provides. 
Partnering with Bigcommerce, our site search experts began working to 
increase the functionality of their customers’ websites. Using AJAX, 
SearchSpring was implemented into the Bigcommerce templates, enhancing 
the user interface and speeding up load times on product display.

After integration, SearchSprings’ technology proved itself quickly. Clients in 
industries like sporting goods, music, education, fashion and personal 
healthcare saw significant improvements in online revenues. 
Within weeks, SearchSpring’s increased conversion rates, time on site, 
average order value and per visit value – creating happier, spendier

THE RESULTS 
Using data from over sixty clients, here are some statistics after 
implementation. 
Revenue: SearchSpring accounted for almost 20% of all clients’ revenue, 
driving 15% of orders. Some merchants saw up-to 48% of online revenue 
accounted for via SearchSpring. 
Per Visit Value: Visitors using SearchSpring were valued 560% higher, on 
average, per visit, over non-users. Bigcommerce merchants with continuous 
optimization efforts saw up-to a 1400% difference in values between users 
vs. non-users. 
Conversion Rates: SearchSpring conversions across all clients averaged 
441% higher than default solutions. Web-savvy merchants who optimized
