Blast Off To Space
- 1. Blast off to space! By Kevin
- 2. To the rocket ship! Mom said we were going to outer space. I thought she meant the museum. We were driving in the car and on the left side I saw a rocket ship. And then I figured out she really meant it. So we got in the rocket ship.
- 3. We are in space! We strapped in our seats and then the countdown started. 5…4…3…2…1… BLAST OFF! I looked out the window and we were in outer space. There was no gravity, so me and Vivian started floating around.
- 4. On Our Way To Mars! I looked out the window and saw Mars. And then we landed there and dust flew around like crazy. I picked up a dirt mound to bring back. We stayed for one hour but really it was one minute.
- 5. We were in the asteroid belt! After Mars, I looked out the window and saw big rocks . I asked Mom what they were and she said, “they are asteroids.” We were dodging them.
- 6. On our way to Jupiter! Once the path was clear, I saw the biggest planet I have ever seen. It had a big red spot on it. I asked mom what it was and she said, “Jupiter, the biggest planet in our solar system.” So I said, “let’s go to Jupiter”. We landed right next to the big red spot. There was dust flying everywhere. You could hardly see a thing. Then I grabbed my jar and filled it up with the red smoke. The red smoke was circling around like mice would do in a cage.
- 7. On our way to Saturn! Then I saw a planet with big rings. I knew it was Saturn because I studied it in school. It has more than 40 rings and it is made out of dirt and rocks that have been floating in space. Then we landed on Saturn. It was dark and cold and I could barely see so we had to use a flashlight to explore the planet. By the time we were done exploring Saturn, my mom said, “if you want to see the other planets we have to go.” Before we left I found a cloud of blue smoke and put it in my other jar.
- 8. On our way to Uranus! Then when me and Vivian were playing around in the spaceship, Vivian looked out the window and saw a bright, blue planet that looked like the sky. Then I looked out the window and it was Uranus the brightest planet in the solar system. Then I asked my mom if we could go there and she said “yes”. When we go there I found a really bright rock that looked like the sun except it was blue. Vivian and I looked on the bright side and mom and dad looked on the dark side. Before we left I took a picture of the planet. When we were finally off Uranus, I looked closely and it looked like a humans eye.
- 9. On our way to Neptune! Then I looked outside the window and I saw a big blue ball that had tons of spots on it. I asked my mom if we could go there and she said yes. We landed on the ground beside a hole. Then we went in the hole. I found a rock with holes in it. I brought it back to the spaceship and we started exploring the planet.
- 10. A New Planet! After we left Neptune I saw a new planet that I have never seen before. I thought we should call it Pluto and it was really dark and cold. We had to use a flashlight and a cozy blanket inside our spacesuit. Then we got out our telescope and looked at all the other planets in the solar system. Then I found a really small rock and it had exactly 2 holes in it. I took a picture of the rock to keep safe in case I lose it because it is small.
- 11. Home Here We Come! Then we started flying in the spaceship headed back home. It was the best vacation ever and we had a lot of fun. The next time my mom says we are going to outer space I hope we can explore more. By the time we got back to our house it was nighttime. I got out my telescope and saw a shooting star. It was the most wonderful day ever!
