 RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Supervise the activities of the assigned mechanical maintenance crew in the field, give the technical direction
and guidance for safe trouble shooting and repair jobs.
 Check overnight O&M’s log books, insure updating the data daily by the responsible personnel, review work
orders, and refer to originators to check equipment or site to determine any work related requirements (safety,
Material, manpower, services..) and insure the optimal utilization.
 Coordinate with maintenance planner to prioritize, schedule and assign jobs to the subordinates,ensure early
prepare for all job requirements.
 Responsible of maintain safety, quality and housekeeping in side mechanical workshop, and job areas as well.
 Insure the attendance of all mechanical s in the daily safety meeting with maintenance staff.
 Support the project team by give all the mechanical requirements and request for possible changes which will
lead to safe and accessible job areas.
 Lead the mechanical maintenance crew during the commissioning and start up.
 Train subordinates and insure their competency for the required job.
 PUMPS:
Dismantling and reassembling of all centrifugal and reciprocating pumps i.e. single and multi-stage, vertical and
horizontal, split and also barrel type. Involved in repair such as plunger changing, diaphragmchanging activities
such as mechanical seal assembling and aligning the pump with prime mover by Reverse and Graphical method,
Rim and Face method.
 CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS:
Experience in Maintenance of single and multi-stage pumps. Experience in and assembling of pumps (Boiler
Feed Water pumps., crude vacuumresidue pumps etc., Replacing seal, Packing, Bearing etc.)
 RECIPROCATING PUMPS:
Experience in Maintenances plunger pump chemical dosing pumps, doublet, triplex pumps, gear pumps,
Diaphragm and zirconium injection pump etc. amine pump, EASC pumps, Experience in Assembling and
dismantling pumps.
 COMPRESSOR:
Overhauling air and gas compressor both rotary as well as reciprocating, maintaining the required clearance for
piston ring gap. Changing gas seal cups, bearing, suction and discharge valves as well as maintenance of lube oil
circuit and coolers.
 TURBINES (STEAM):
Carried out preventive maintenance on their accessories, steam is a byproduct and save electricity. Impulse and
reaction two types, and HP and LP turbines the steam nozzle clearance and blade deflector clearance, governor
system, shutdown tripping system, maintaining.
 MECHANICAL SEALS:
Worked on all types of seals including single, double and tandem seals, single spring and multi-spring, Bellow
type and proper rectification of the same. Compressors in ISO carbon seals
 GEAR BOXES:
Involved in preventive maintenance and bearing changing inspection of gas and bearing and check the back lash
clearance activities.
 ALIGNMENT:
Alignment of pumps, compressors,Gear box, and turbines suiting Hot and Cold condition
1. Rim and Face Method, 2. Straight edge method, 3. Reverse indicator Method, 4. Laser method
 VALVES:
Overhauled all types of valves like safety and relief valves, Pressure and vacuum valves,Compressor valves etc.
and hydro testing of the same at the required set pressure.Also worked on ball valves, Gate valves and check
valves, Pressure safety valves.
 SEPERATOR:
Having experience in 2 phase and 3 phase (horizontal, vertical, Sphere) separatormaintenance to change mist
pad, vertex breaker, coalescing plates, deflected etc. Involved in startup shutdown and commissioning procedure
all type of separator
 HEAT EXCHANGER:
Having experience in plate type,shell and tube (single and multi-tubes) exchanger. Involved in maintenance and
repair of tubes,nozzle baffle plates, spoolpiece etc. Also worked on Fin-Fan coolers for changing the blade
angle and replacing the motor etc.
 PUMP OPERATION
a. Operations of Centrifugal & Reciprocating pump open Startup & shut down.
b. Maintenance seal check, Cavitation, Suction & Discharge pressure check-up, pulsation chamber, Strainer
operation coupling
c. Lube pump operation, oil level maintenance, and vibration check. Shaft vibration & Heat check-up, speed
setting chemical dose pump operation, submersible pump operation, trouble shooting, etc.
d. Operations and Maintenance to single Pump and multistage Pumps. Experience in Dismantling and
assembling of Pumps Replacing seal, Packing, Bearing etc.
