This document summarizes a presentation on reflective conversations about grading practices between educators. The presenters were Mrs. Jan King from NCDPI and Dr. April Spencer from WRESA. The presentation focused on making grading practices and philosophies more transparent and ensuring grades are consistent, accurate, and supportive of learning. It explored scenarios involving elementary, middle, and high school and discussed experts' perspectives on issues like averaging grades and formative assessment. Participants were encouraged to have proactive discussions about their own grading practices using case studies and questions provided.
