This document proposes a mentorship program to support beginning principals in Henderson County Public Schools. It identifies the challenges beginning principals face and the need to build leadership capacity. The intervention involves pairing 6 first-year principals with mentors for reflective video journals, self-assessments, and mentor support over a 90-day cycle. The goals are to enhance principal leadership, create a replicable support model, and develop online resources. The framework draws on improvement science and a progressive approach of empowering employees through development.
