Rationale Libraries are the keepers of knowledge and the gateway to learning, research and development. As the society becomes more dynamic, libraries are also looking for ways to meet the information needs of the society. Libraries commence transforming from a paradigm shift of paper to electronic or digital information. It is the main goal of the academic library to support the curriculum of its institution, and therefore the library must be well-equippedwith the new transitions on the educational systems of the Philippines to address the challenges and issues faced by the librarians, as well as to meet the changing needs of the library customers. Likewise, the Philippine educational systems have tremendously transformedits national curriculum from basic education to higher education to achieve quality education for the Filipino students. K+12 was currently adopted and implemented in the Philippines where the goals of this program is to provide sufficient time for mastery of concepts and skills, develop lifelong learners, and prepare graduates for tertiary education, middle-level skills development, employment, and entrepreneurship (Republic of the Philippines Official Gazette, 2012). With regards to the K+12 goals, a library therefore adheres and supports these goals by providing quality resources and services for quality education. The aim of these events is to determine the role of the Library and Information Specialists towards the K to 12.
