- 2. Citing a source is like putting together a jigsaw puzzle – each piece has to come together just so in order for the puzzle to make the big picture.
- 3. Example Abstract Locate and print the Abstract Page for your EBSCOhost article. Look at the information carefully to fill in your chart. If it’s not in your chart, it’s NOT in NoodleTools!
- 4. DOI? Is there a DOI (digital object identifier)? NO - leave this BLANK in your chart. YES - leave the retrieval information BLANK (database name, accession #, URL).
- 5. Continue referring to the ABSTRACT PAGE to complete the rest of your chart. Title of MAGAZINE or JOURNAL This is the SOURCE of your article.
- 7. AUTHOR(s) of Article – List ALL Leave BLANK if no names are listed.
- 8. PAGE #(s) start-end
- 9. VOLUME # ISSUE #
- 10. Publication DATE *If you do not have a Month or Season, you may not have a periodical. See Librarian for help!
- 11. If you do NOT have a DOI - 1. Include Accession # and Database Name OR 2. URL to the .com Example: #22624978 Texas Reference Center (NO URL)
- 12. Now you’re ready to create your Reference List in NoodleTools.
