INTRODUCTION

     This is a simple model to be used for improvement
introduction and implementation. The goal of this slide set is
   to help us think through this model and its elements to
improve our rollouts and change efforts. We often forget or
skip the first and last steps of this process, to prepare and to
 maintain. Doing them well will help our improvement stick
  and allow us move on to the next improvement that we
  need to make. I invite you to review and incorporate to
            help your change efforts. --Tom Curtis

• Review    current documentation

• Assess   what is required to bring new

• Prepare   the environment for new

• Set   expectations for change
LAYOUT THE NEW SYSTEM
        MADE


• Map   the new system

• Assign   roles, activities, & audits

• Develop    the standards & reporting

• Entrench    through training
APPLY THE NEW SYSTEM
          BARD


• Begin   using

• Audit   to ensure standard is followed

• Retrain   as needed

• Document        lessons
IMPROVE THE NEW SYSTEM
         FRAME

• Find   improvement opportunities

• Review   opportunities

• Approve    opportunities

• Make    changes

• Ensure   update of documentation and retraining take place
MAINTAIN THE NEW SYSTEM
          FACE


• Follow   the documentation

• Audit   as planned

• Continue    to improve

• Evaluate   periodically
