Class Orientation Slides for Grade 9 Learners
Classroom Rules and Regulations
1. Be punctual. A student who is late for 10 minutes will be
marked “late”. 3 late’s is equivalent to 1 day of absence.
2. If a student is 30 minutes late, he/she will not be
allowed to join the lecture unless a written excuse letter
signed by the head teacher or principal is presented.
3. NO Student is allowed to enter the classroom without a
valid excuse letter after being absent in class.
Class begins with a prayer. Each will have the opportunity to say
prayer no matter what religion you are from.
4. Sign the attendance sheet. Signing on others behalf is
not allowed.

5. Wear proper school uniform and ID.
6. Remain in class until dismissed. Request permission
before leaving in case of emergency.
7. Students are not allowed to leave the classroom
when discussion starts. Going to the comfort room
and drinking should have been done before the start
of class.
8. Sit properly in your assigned seats. Do not raise feet
toward others. Do not bend back, slouch, or sit in a
lazy, drooping way. Do not sit on the arm of the chair.

9. Do not sleep. Do not yawn.
10. Do not chew gum.
11. Avoid disturbing or interrupting the class.
12. Do not talk to other students unless group activities are
conducted.
13. Active class participation is highly encouraged. Raise hand
when you want to talk and stand during recitation. This also
includes flag ceremonies, and retreats; and school programs.
14. If you need to move within the classroom, you should request
permission.
15. Do not linger or congregate in the door entrance while waiting
for the class to start.
16. Mobile phones are not allowed. Charging is not allowed.

17. Internet access is not permitted unless part of the class
assignment or activity for the day.
18. Keep the class clean and tidy before and after class. You
may stay in the classroom if the teacher is in the classroom.
There are valuable items in the classroom and you do not
want to be blamed for any loss or damage. Whatever you
damage, you have to un-damage.
19. Come to class physically, mentally, and emotionally
prepared. (Paper, pen, crayon, scissors, ruler, compass,
calculator, etc.)
20. Requirements, assignments, projects, term papers should
be submitted on time.
21. Respect and cooperate with teachers, staff, and other
learners.

22. Always be honest. Honesty is the best policy.
23.Smile often.
24. Inform your adviser in every untoward circumstance
that might happen. Give the contact number of your
parent or guardian.
25.Play when you are playing and work when you are
working. Do not play and work at the same time.
FOCUS is the key word.
26.Attitude is everything.
27. Give your best shot in everything you do.
