- 1. Classroom Activities and Reflections for Module 6 During advisory, discuss interventions, tutors, or other experiences that help students succeed when they were struggling. What strategies work best for you? Journal prompt: When were you excited to learn more about a topic? When did you leave a class eager to come back tomorrow and continue the learning? What made that experience work for you? Give students a subject and have them create their own essential questions around the topic. Show students examples of a unit and ask them to analyze how it meets both the performance outcomes and the standards. Show the students a unit plan and have them help talk about the final product. Give them guiding questions, such as “How will the performance outcomes should we addressed within the unit?” When assigning group activities give students specific roles such as leader, recorder, supplies manager, etc., so that students learn what it means to have a role within a group.
