Refrain from using profane or abusive language. 3. Listen (don’t speak) while others are speaking. 4. No chewing of gum; eating or drinking. 5. Be quiet when the teacher is talking in front. 6. Address teachers and peers with courtesy. 7. No personal grooming in class. 8. No cellular phones or other electronic devices are allowed.

- 11. CLASSROOM PROCEDURES WHEN YOU ENTER… 1. WEAR YOUR SHOE MOPS. 2. GREET THE TEACHER AND YOUR CLASSMATES. “Good morning/afternoon, Mrs. Mercado. Good morning/afternoon, classmates.” 3. KEEP YOUR CELLULAR PHONES AWAY FROM YOUR HANDS. 4. TAKE OUT NEEDED MATERIALS AS SOON AS THE TEACHER GIVES INSTRUCTIONS. WHEN YOU TARDY… Greet your teacher. “Good morning/afternoon, Mrs. Mercado. Good morning/afternoon, classmates. I’m sorry I’m late” Then go to your seat quietly.
- 12. WHEN COMPLETING TASKS… 1. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS THE FIRST TIME. 2. QUIETLY RAISE YOUR HAND FOR ASSISTANCE. 3. WAIT TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED. 4. WORK CAREFULLY, QUICKLY, AND QUIETLY. 5. USE A LOW VOICE WHEN REQUIRED.
- 13. WHEN WORKING IN A GROUP … 1. You must complete each group activity. 2. Play your role in the group. 3. You have the right to ask anyone else in your group for help. 4. You have the duty to assist anyone who asks for help. 5. Help other group members without doing their work for them. 6. Everybody helps (this includes group activities and classroom tasks).
- 14. WHEN TURNING IN PAPERS … 1. PASS THE PAPER FORWARD. 2. DON’T DISTURB THE OTHERS WHO ARE STILL WORKING 3. BEING FINISHED WITH YOUR TASK DOESN’T GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO DO WHATEVER YOU WANT. BEHAVE AND KEEP YOUR BUTT ON YOUR SEAT. 4. WRITE IN BLUE OR BLACK INK. • WORK COMPLETED IN PENCIL AND RED BALLPENWILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. 4. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR SCRATCH PAPER ON THE FLOOR OR INSERT IT IN THE CORNERS OF YOUR SEAT. PLACE THEN IN THE TRASH BINS.

PENALTIES TARDINESS AND ABSENCES * 1st offense – warning and documentation * 2nd offense – contact parent/guardian • 3rd offense – disciplinary referral WITHOUT SHOE MOPS * 1st offense – warning and documentation * 2nd offense – 2.00 pesos to be paid to the class treasurer * 3rd offense – 5.00 pesos that includes the succeeding offenses
