- 4. AIM OF THE PROJECT Managing the attendance using traditional approach is really a cumbersome process. The person has to maintain the student results and attendance record in registers and file using pen and paper. The problem with this approach is that it requires lots of paper which are the part of our non-renewable natural resources. We are in the digital age, where we have to think about sustainable development. Managing the results and attendance using mobile phones, provide an alternative way in this direction. Communication between teachers and the parent is also an important issue that should also be considered, because parent can only get the information about their ward after the interaction with teachers. The Proposed system provide the application system which enables parent or student to receive the information of their academics regularly on daily basis.

OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROJECT Attendance is taken every day on each working day whether it is college, school or any other institution and in this process every institution wasted lots of paper just for keeping the record. With such small reasons, our natural resources are depleting at the enormous rate and it can be possible that our descendants don’t able to get those resources. Providing a smart technology college attendance and result application system. Using mobile for taking attendance, consumes not only less energy but also helps in reducing the wastage of paper and can serve as green way for taking the attendance. This application will help to reduce wasting college administration and faculties spend time for taking attendance and give the exam result to each student. The majority of the population/ organization today uses smart phones with active internet connection, which is the basic requirement for this product to function properly. This project falls under the category of embedded systems and android applications.

- 7. EXISTING SYSTEM Due to the raise of benefits of automated system, huge process which done by the humans are automated now. In college attendance and results management existing system, there is a huge necessity needed for automated system which includes their role in academic infrastructures like schools & colleges that needs to change the role of their manual system to mobile computing systems. The Computer Technology changes uses the databases & application of the Information System of students, which helps to make their documents and records as centralized. It is not easy to find out the particular student information from whole record of college data management.
- 8. DISADVANTAGES OF EXISTING SYSTEM 1. Its manual process for earlier system. 2. Its more time consume for all process. 3. Need for more resources. 4. Its chance to lose our record or data.
- 9. PROPOSED SYSTEM Mobile and Web application technology is beneficial for college management system. The proposed system consists of three modules: admin panel, Staff module and Student module. Admin can post the information of available on mark results , Manage Department, Year , Subject Code, modify the student and staff account details . Next, staff can make attendance for their students, and view mark result of their own subject. Next, student or parent can view the attendance result and semester results. The proposed system Through this, the management and monitoring of students and school would be much easier for both college admin and teachers.

CONCLUSION In this conclusion we have discussed about the problems caused due to the use of traditional approach in taking the attendance and solutions for that through the use of mobile and provide a new approach. The goals achieved in following this approach: Automate the attendance management using mobile devices to reduce the dependencies on natural resources and also provides a way of communication between parents and teachers. Integrating the student’s mobile phones with the application so that the application detects automatically the students that are present is a great thing to be added in the future. Integrate it with the centralized server of the college/school so that the server will send the SMS to the guardians of the absentee’s students and informing them about his or her ward. We will try to generate the daily report that will be submitted to the centralized server for its record.

FUTURE ENHANCEMENT In Future work, This application to develop a cross platforms like IOS, etc. In adding the more features of college results management system to develop access with user’s flexibility. To authenticate the users based on the system users list which is maintained by the operating system To restrict the usage of all files by the users based on their privileges on the system
