The document provides instructions for setting up various assistive communication devices for a student including attaching a Dynavox to a wheelchair mount, securing a Chat PC to a wheelchair tray using Velcro, and correctly positioning and securing switches within easy reach of the student while making sure they will not accidentally be pressed or fall. Depress power button to turn on and wait, it takes a few seconds Make sure key guard is attached Student needs wheelchair tray on Attach mount into the mount holder on the lower right side of the wheelchair Attach the Dynavox to the mount by pulling out the pin and sliding the Dynavox in until pin locks Student needs to wear wrist splints and finger splint Place a pillow or the yoga block under student’s left elbow Power Power Indicator
- 3. Make sure freshly charger batteries are inserted Press and release power button Student needs wheelchair tray on Pull out built in easel on the back and place on wheelchair tray and use a large plastic clamp to secure Power Power Indicator Built in easel
- 4. Remove device from case Press and release power button Student needs wheelchair tray on Attach Chat PC to tray by sticking onto the Velcro near the joystick Student may not have food or drink present with Chat PC on tray Power Power Indicator

Turn on Set to correct level, make sure picture matches voice output by pressing a few of the buttons Adjust volume, if using headphone plug into speaker port Place in the a location that the student can easily reach, without accidently pressing Make sure that the device is secure and will not slide or fall Powe r Level Knob Speaker Port

Slide button to on Turn up volume To record press record button and the switch top at the same time, say your message then release buttons Adjust volume Place in the a location that the student can easily reach, without accidently pressing Make sure that the switch is secure and will not slide or fall Power
