The document presents a design for a compact quasi self-complementary elliptical disc monopole antenna with a tapered microstrip feed line aimed at ultra-wideband (UWB) applications. This design achieves a significant size reduction of 62% compared to conventional antennas while enhancing impedance bandwidth, allowing operation in both UWB and Ku band frequencies. The proposed antenna structure, with a physical dimension of 16mm x 25mm, exhibits a percentage impedance bandwidth of 123.46%, addressing the growing demand for miniaturized and efficient UWB antennas.
