This paper presents a comparison between rectangular and circular microstrip patch antenna arrays designed for wireless communication applications, specifically at a resonant frequency of 2.4 GHz. Various designs, including single, 2x1, and 4x1 arrays, were simulated using a full wave simulator and evaluated for parameters such as reflection coefficient, gain, and directivity. The results demonstrate that while both shapes perform similarly, rectangular patch antennas provide better side lobe suppression compared to circular ones.
